Dear Project Runway,
I have been a fan of your show from the first episode, and even have you listed under "Favorite TV Shows" on my Facebook profile.
However, last season was a trying time for our relationship. First, you got my hopes up by moving to L.A., and then you were filmed at FIDM, where I was going to school. I felt closer to you than ever before and I was excited for a new approach. But then your air date kept getting pushed back because NBC and Lifetime were fighting over you and by the time you aired, the buzz had died down, and you lost some of your appeal.
I don't know if it was the new network (Lifetime just isn't as edgy as Bravo), the new location (Los Angeles isn't for everyone), or the long wait, but I just could not connect with you like I usually do.

Having said that, I understand that you were in a transitional period, and I believe in second chances. Now that you have returned to New York and are settled with your new network, and I am hopeful that this season will prove to be a better showing of your abilities, and that, in Tim Gunn's words, you will "wow" us once again. I would really like for us to be close again, I've missed you.

I just got a chance to watch the new one and to me it had the feel of the old Project Runway. I don't know what made last season feel different but I am excited for the rest of this season. So far, I'm a fan of Seth Aaron!
ReplyDeleteI agree that it did feel like the old PR, which makes me so happy! But I kind of thought the judges were a little crazy with their faves... Ping's outfit looked like a cropped snuggie. Guess we will see what happens tonight!
